Tankard TrophyThe first trophy of the day was held on 5th April. Conditions were positively
summery and winds were light to moderate. There was a good turn out and
the competition was closely fought. Result The Davidson Trophy was postponed due to high winds. Watch the sailing
calendar and club notice board for a new date. New Roof and Clubhouse improvements:The clubhouse improvement team have been working hard despite Steve Morgan skiving on a Fajita Hunting trip to Mexico. The roof has been finished thanks to Ruberoid and Steve’s company and the garages have been given a new coat of paint. Special mention to Sean Bates for his work in tidying the area between the garages and the clubhouse and to David Wilcock, who brought his digger across from Blackrod during rush hour (how to win friend and influence people!). With the digger he was able to make short work of the remaining tree stumps in the car park.Saturday Sailing:The summer opening of the Club on Saturdays is proving to be a big success. The club has hosted a Powerboat course and an OOD course in recent weeks and they have proven to be well attended.
